BUDGET BEAUTY PRODUCTS
Products that don’t break the bank are sometimes hard to come by. Finding budget beauty products that you love is difficult. As a woman with sensitive skin and a woman of color its important for a product to have a range of colors and to have ingredients that are not too harsh on my skin. My take on any product whether its makeup or skin care is:
- Love the product
- You should feel like you got a good deal
- Multiple uses out of the product

Sometimes you feel cheated when you spend a lot of money on a higher end product and then it doesn’t live up to its name. This is the worst. This has happened to me too many times which has caused me to look for more affordable products. This post is all about a few affordable products that I found and can’t get enough of lately. I have personally had these products in heavy rotation and recommend you go out and give them a try.
This is not your typical budget drugstore beauty product roundup. These are products that are good quality and won’t break the bank. All products mentioned retail for less than $25.
MAC Select Cover-Up- Girl, I am absolutely obsessed with this stuff. I have so many dark marks and spots on my face from acne. When you have a lot of marks on your face it’s difficult to find a product that covers up the marks and won’t look like you just caked on a bunch of makeup. This has been my saving grace and a little goes a long way. I have used it especially for my cheeks and under eye area and it has blended flawlessly into my skin and covered up every mark. I highly recommend you get your hands on this product because it is great for covering up EVERYTHING and is currently only $21!
ProFusion Cosmetics Mixed Metals Metallic Eyeshadow– This liquid eyeshadow is so pigmented and beautiful. It’s a bronze gold color and is easily applied to the eyelids with the spool as you would apply lip gloss. The other shadow is a pigment you can add-on top of the liquid eyeshadow to make the color pop. I found this in a set at Target and it was on sale for like $6. It came with two liquid eyeshadow, metallic eye pigment, and a liquid eyeliner. When I first picked up the set I wasn’t too sure how the shadows would look but I am so happy I took a chance and purchased them because I find myself reaching for these shadows all the time lately.
BECCA Cosmetics Champagne Pop Highlight– This highlighter came in the Glow as you go set that I purchased around the holidays. It was $20 and comes with the small highlight you see pictured and a liquid highlighter. The BECCA highlights are part of the skin perfector pressed highlighter collection. This highlight is so beautiful on the skin. It has peachy pink undertones and will highlight all of your features. I am so happy I decided to get this highlight because it has literally taken my makeup to the next level.
NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick– This liquid lipstick has a matte finish. You can put it on and it will last all day with no need to reapply. This one is in the shade Beauty Mark which has more of a nude or chocolate undertone. I purchased this lipstick from Target and it was only around $5 or $6.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick– This is another favorite lately. I seriously have been in love with matte finish liquid lipsticks. You can put it on and won’t need to reapply as it is smudge proof and waterproof. The color is highly pigmented and has a hint of shimmer. This shade is in the color Sad Girl. These lipsticks will run you around $20 but I found them for $6.99 at Marshalls randomly.
Mario Badescu Facial Spray– I have only used this spray a few times. I was impressed with how well my makeup looked after using the spray. This facial spray has aloe, herbs, and rosewater. The mist is refreshing and was not harsh on my skin. This refresher for your face is for dehydrated skin as refreshing mist or pick me up throughout the day or for setting makeup which is how I used the product. This facial spray is very affordable and popular because of how versatile it is.
Benefit Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara– I purchased this in the mini because I wasn’t sure I would like it. I actually love Benefit’s mascara’s and found this one is just as amazing as the others. This mascara gives the illusion that my lashes are longer and fuller than they are. It did not clump throughout the day and made my eyes look more alive. The mini version will run you around $12.
The brushes are from BH Cosmetics. They came in a set and I love the white and gold. They do get dirty from makeup but as long as you keep up with cleaning they should last you. I highly recommend the brushes because they were affordable and have so many different options.
