Valentines Date Night: Red Velvet Dress

Valentines Date Night: Red Velvet Dress

Yes, another Valentines Day post. As I mentioned in an earlier post I love this holiday because of all the love I get to give and receive. I am sometimes over the top and annoying with showing affection but on Valentines Day it’s socially acceptable. Plus I get to eat all the chocolate and snacks. I’m looking forward to spending the night cuddled up with hubby. We will probably have a little dinner and just spend some quality time together. I was thinking of something sexy to wear that was also comfortable if we decide to go out for a Valentines Date Night.

I remembered that I ordered a bunch of dresses around NYE. This dress was one of my faves mostly because of the red velvet color and the zipper with the O ring in the front. I always pay attention to the subtle details in my clothing and that little zip up the front was all I needed to buy this simple and sexy dress.

The dress says red on the website but it looks more like a burgundy color. It’s a mini dress which looks a little longer for your girl because I’m on the shorter side. The zip up is nice because it’s easy to take on and off and I didn’t feel restricted which tends to happen in some dresses. This one felt great on my skin and had some stretch which is great especially if going out to have dinner.

I paired the dress with my black over the knee boots that I purchased from Justfab. I love these boots because they are a wide calf and they actually go all the way up to my thighs. Wide calf boots are a rare commodity for wide calf women so when I found these it was a must-have purchase for me.

When wearing a dress like this its best to keep it simple. For the accessories, I decided on a black choker and my black faux fur purse. I have some stacked bracelets, one of my favorite affordable watches and some gold stud earrings for jewelry.

I love to dress up and get all pretty. Valentines Date Night is a good way to dress up and wear something that makes you feel sexy and beautiful. This dress hugged all the right curves and had me looking like a sweet treat as my hubby likes to say. You can easily wear this dress with some cute black heels, burgundy heels or a red pair of heels. If you want wearing a pair of tights would also be cute with this dress especially here in the midwest when the temperatures are lower.

It’s all about what you feel comfortable wearing and how you feel in your clothing. You can pull off anything ladies. Don’t be scared to add color to your wardrobes and different textures because you never know how good it will look until you give it a try.
